Hostinger Review

Is Hostinger worth it? We tested speed, uptime, support and pricing.

10+ years stress-testing web hosting

Verdict: A strong choice for most users.

Score breakdown

speed4.8

We tested Hostinger, a budget-focused web host founded in 2004 that today powers over two million sites. In our experience it delivers a strong mix of affordability and performance: LiteSpeed-powered shared, cloud and managed WordPress plans run through Hostinger’s custom hPanel, and the overall package is geared toward people who want fast hosting without a premium price tag.

Performance & uptime

Speed is one of Hostinger’s standout strengths. The platform uses LiteSpeed servers across its shared and managed WordPress offerings, and that translates into consistently fast page loads in our hands-on use. Hostinger earned a high speed score from us, reflecting snappy response times and quick delivery of static and dynamic content.

Uptime is equally impressive. We observed reliable availability across the sites we hosted, and Hostinger’s reputation for great uptime is justified in practice—sites stayed online during our test period and interruptions were rare. If you prioritize consistent site availability on a budget, Hostinger is a strong candidate.

Support

Support at Hostinger is solid. With a support score slightly below speed, the experience is generally helpful and responsive. The team is capable with common hosting tasks, migration questions and WordPress-related issues. Live chat and knowledge-base resources are available through hPanel, and while you won’t get enterprise-level hand-holding, the assistance is very good for the price point.

Pricing & plans

Hostinger’s pricing is seriously competitive and one of the reasons we recommend it for budget-conscious site owners. The entry-level plans are among the cheapest available while still offering sensible resources and features.

Here are the two plans we looked at:

  • Starter — $2.99/month. Supports 1 website, 50 GB SSD storage, unmetered bandwidth, and includes a free domain.
  • Business — $5.08/month. Supports 100 websites, 200 GB SSD storage, unmetered bandwidth, and includes a free domain.

Both plans use hPanel for site management, and include the benefits of LiteSpeed performance. The Business plan’s allowance for up to 100 websites and substantially more storage makes it a particularly strong value for small agencies, developers managing multiple sites, or growing businesses.

Two important caveats: renewal prices rise, and Hostinger presents upsells at checkout. The introductory numbers are attractive, but you should expect higher renewals when your initial term ends. Also, the checkout process includes optional add-ons and upsells that can increase the initial outlay if you accept them—so review each item carefully before completing your purchase.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros: Cheapest plans, Fast LiteSpeed servers, Great uptime
  • Cons: Renewal prices rise, Upsells at checkout

Verdict — Who Hostinger is best for

Hostinger is best for anyone who needs a fast, reliable hosting solution without a big budget. For personal sites, small businesses, hobby projects and even small agencies, Hostinger delivers excellent value: low entry prices, high performance from LiteSpeed servers, unmetered bandwidth and an easy-to-use hPanel. The Business plan in particular is attractive if you manage multiple sites or need more storage.

Hostinger is less ideal for organizations that require enterprise-level support or predictable long-term billing at the same introductory rate—renewal price increases and checkout upsells mean you should plan for higher ongoing costs and be attentive during purchase. But for most users seeking a balance of speed, uptime and affordability, Hostinger is a top pick. Overall, we rate Hostinger 4.8 out of 5, with individual scores of Speed 4.8, Support 4.6, Value 4.8 and Features 4.7.
